The Real

Sergio
Esposito

A Republican Extremist Making the Affordability Crisis Worse for Hudson Valley Taxpayers

Sergio Esposito is an extremist politician who has hiked taxes and fees while giving himself raises and dodging his own tax bills. Hudson Valley residents struggling to make ends meet should reject Sergio Esposito.

He’s reckless and untrustworthy.

Hudson Valley Families Can’t Afford Sergio Esposito

Rather than helping to solve the affordability crisis, Sergio Esposito has made it worse.

On the Yorktown Board in 2023 and 2025, Esposito voted to raise his salary twice, giving himself a 38% raise – at taxpayer expense.

In 2024, he voted to lift the town’s property tax cap to hike taxes by 6.6%, the highest increase of any local government in Westchester County that year.

He also has voted to increase water rates by 10%, sewer rates by 12.9%, and trash collection by more than 50% while hiking dozens of other fees.

We Can’t Trust Sergio Esposito

Raising his own salary isn’t the only way Sergio Esposito has mismanaged taxpayer dollars and benefited.

Sergio Esposito and his businesses have racked up tax warrants totaling almost $20,000, including a personal tax warrant of $1,800.

The New York Department of Labor fined him more than $3,000 for failing to comply with Unemployment Insurance requirements at his business.

Esposito’s business also took a $24,000 taxpayer-funded bailout through the Paycheck Protection Program in 2020. Rather than using all of it to cover payroll, he took a quarter of it for other bills.

Sergio Esposito is Too Extreme

Sergio Esposito wants to roll back reproductive healthcare and sensible gun laws in New York.

He accepted the endorsement of the Conservative Party, which has called for a ban on abortion, including in cases of rape and incest.

The owner of a gun store, Esposito sells assault rifles, has partnered with the National Rifle Association (NRA), shared an article on social media supporting allowing guns on college campuses, and has promoted social media posts that oppose sensible gun laws and background checks.

His gun store even shared social media posts supporting President Trump’s national reciprocity plan on concealed weapons, which would force New York to recognize Alabama and Texas’s gun laws.
